Your personal documentary can include on-site interviews, photographs, home-movies, music, additional footage we shoot as well as archival footage from historical events to put your personal story into the perspective of its times.
We work with you to pre-plan production, going over the key events in the story we're going to tell so that shooting goes smoothly. Pre-production consultations also include working with you to make sure you have gathered all of the photographs and any other materials you want to include in the story.
This can seem daunting but you'll find your enthusiam for the project growing as you leaf through the old photographs. It will also spark memories of stories you want to tell in the interview. In fact, part of the interview is simply going through favorite photos and recalling what was happening at the time it was taken.
After shooting, we lovingly assemble all the elements into a script for you to review before we edit. The result is an original story uniquely yours — and one that will be watched and remembered for generations.
